Fix A Friend Spay Neuter Clinic

Fix A Friend Spay Neuter Clinic We are a high volume spay neuter clinic dedicated to waging war on local pet overpopulation. We provide services to anyone anywhere.

For after hours emergencies regarding a procedure performed at our clinic we refer you to ECVR at 910-790-1070. We are waging war on local pet overpopulation by providing quality surgeries at an affordable price. We work with animal shelters, rescues, feral cat caretakers and the general public to help animals get fixed. We provide traps and carriers for Good Samaritans who want to spay or neuter

feral cats. There are no geographic limitations. We are a member of the National Spay Neuter Response Team whose collective mission is to end the euthanasia of companion animals nationwide through the efforts of aggressive spaying and neutering in local communities.

There were a lot of obvious reasons why we wanted to be back in our building but one huge reason close to our hearts, that may have been overshadowed, is our ability to nearly double our surgery numbers!! Our amazing team was able to break the barrier today!!! Cats broke triple digits alone, reaching 101 here for surgery, while the dogs came in at 19, bringing our grand total to 120! Best part, the team was done and gone before the sun began to set!
Thank you to everyone for all your community support throughout this little adventure, we are fully back up and running at full-speed, officially!

THANKS FROM THE FRIENDS YOU FIXED . . .
by taking part in the 2025 tournament. The event not only paid for spay/neuter for a number of rescued dogs and cats, it also raised community awareness of the effort to decrease euthanasia rates through widespread spay/neuter. Special thanks to organizer Crystal Lee, as well as players, spectators, & donors of raffle prizes.

SNEAK PEAK at Fix A Friend! We are all done and going through county inspections. We are hoping to get the Certificate of Occupancy tomorrow so we can use the weekend to install the dog runs, move equipment in and try to get the NC Vet Board to inspect early next week. Thank you to everyone who donated to help make this possible. For 10 months we have been operating out of storage containers, mobile units and tents in rain, snow and heat. We would love to be back in our building doing what we do best: Spaying and Neutering!

HAPPY NEWS: ADOPTED!

Introducing NILLA. Special Report to all our senior-dog loving folks out there: NILLA has entered the building and is waiting for you! This little Beagle lady, who likes to eat, is a gentle soul with a winning attitude. She is trying to take in stride her time here in the doggie dorm and is enjoying all the walks, all the pets, and all the treats, but we know that what she is really ready for is to choose a kind and loving family who need their hearts filled by a little brown-eyed dog.

We are getting really close to getting the certificate of occupancy and going before the NC Vet board to reopen the building. It could be in the next week or two. Meanwhile, the cost SO FAR is $459,000 with at least another $100,000 still left to go. We had been kicking the can down the road on a lot of things over the years that had to get fixed. We needed a new roof from the last hurricane. We doubled the size of the parking lot to accommodate double the customers we serve now. We needed all new siding, electric, AC and plumbing systems, a $25,000 lift to lift all the trapped cats, $100,000 worth of ADA ramps and decks since we are now 7 feet up in the air and a $75,000 concrete foundation to sit on. An unnamed tropical storm flooded us with 3 feet of water, but we evacuated 100 animals by boat to safety. For ten months we operated out of mobile units, storage containers and tents in our parking lot on generators and a T pole through rain, snow, and the hottest days of a heat wave. Only closing for 3 weeks, we proved that this team is not only operating on a mission. We started a movement. A movement where everyday people, shelters and rescues drive from 2 hours away or more from every direction to get animals fixed. 4 days every week, over 100 animals get bussed each day into the largest nonprofit spay/neuter clinic in all of Southeastern NC because people are choosing A DIFFERENT PATH. They reject dropping off homeless animals at county pounds for them to kill. That way is long gone and you can thank Adopt An Angel for creating Fix A Friend that started this movement. We have TWO mobile spay/neuter clinics now so expect great things coming from us soon! WATCH THIS SPACE.

Please donate at www.adoptanangel.net or mail checks to Adopt An Angel, PO Box 15095, Wilmington, NC 28408 so that we come back stronger than ever!
