Well Luna had to join in on everyone’s injury fun in the challenge and tried to rearrange her body tonight. 🤦🏼‍♀️ why Luna! She is fine! She got spooked at something, assuming she spun and slipped on the wet ground and went backwards over a panel landing head first. She gets her body worked on on Saturday. No cuts, no blood. No limping. Just her pride down the drain. 🤣 I rushed home from work and she came over to me. With that being said! I still have 23 raffle tickets left for Teens and Oregon I need to sell! They are $10 each! This is my second mustang challenge of the year and we leave next Thursday!

Luna had her second trim this evening, but first official trim of getting her feet where they should be. She was such a good girl and stood like she’s been doing it all her life! From cow kicking, to full on kicking with anything or anyone that touched her back feet, to standing like a pro. I am so proud of her! I have been working on her feet every day! 🥰

Luna learned how to bend around to pressure tonight. Only thing we did due to me working both jobs, getting up at 3:30am going to the barn to work and then home to get ready for my full time job. One more day of getting up at 3:30am. 😊 Luna needs to learn to be soft and supple to pressure for when she gets started under saddle. 15 days until haul in! I am still needing a sponsor for the stall. All donations go to Teens and Oregon to support the organization to help continue to have these challenges to find these amazing mustangs new homes. 🥰 stall sponsor is $100. 16 days until haul in! Crunch time! Luna is getting so much better about ropes and things being drug behind her! I roped the cone tonight with her ground tied and she wasn’t even fazed. She sidepassed both ways over a cone, soon I will add my next step to my freestyle. Her showmanship is perfect! Trail is perfect, just have to work on walking through pool noodles on a jump standard! Can’t believe the challenge is 16 days away!😳 she wasn’t thrilled the rope on her butt, but she stood like a good girl and didn’t spook. 🥰

MYWY Mustang Challenge 2024 awards, Heather got 2nd in trail in hand, 4th in body conditioning, and 4th in showmanship. Didn’t place in halter and handling most likely due to the trailer issue. But overall I am proud of this girl. Freestyle and auction tomorrow. If she doesn’t sell, she comes home to continue training until she’s sold. 🥰

Challenge month is almost here. MYWY Challenge with Heather is next weekend in Enumclaw. And I have little over a month left (36 days) until the Teens and Oregon challenge with Luna in Albany. 😍 So glad I did this and picked up two wild mustangs and got to start them myself. Heather has been extremely easy, born broke mind set and personality. Luna has been the challenge one, I couldn’t touch her for 5 days when I first got her. Now she’s a showmanship machine and wants nothing but love and hugs. 🥰

Luna just blows my mind every single day. First time with the flysheet on and turned out. No care in the world. And then I put the surcingle on her for the first time. No spook, no care in the world, one step closer to putting the saddle on her. Nova and Gypsy got some workout time as well. 🥰 I need to find a good routine to get all 6 horses worked with. 😬

Day 18 with Luna last night. She’s getting better. Learning new things, but still very flighty. She’s a sweet girl.
