Greetings, greetings, dear friends! 🌸🐾
They call me Nytiri. I’m 14 years young, and today I’ve come to share a little piece of my story with you. You see, I’ve lived quite a long life, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned along the way, it’s that even after the hardest days, there’s always a reason to have hope. ❤️
Not too long ago, the family I once knew moved away and left me behind in their backyard. I didn’t quite understand why, and I suppose I never will. But I’ve decided that what happened to me will not determine what the rest of my story looks like. I still believe there are wonderful people in this world, and I still have plenty of love left to share.
And wouldn’t you know it? Life has already given me another reason to believe just that!
A wonderful, caring family has taken me under their wing, along with another Windcrest pup, Ziggy! I’m now enjoying the comforts of a foster home, and goodness gracious, what a lovely change it’s been! A warm place to rest, soft spots to lay my head, and people who make sure I’m comfortable. It’s the little things in life that mean the most, you know. 🥹💕
At my age, I’ve developed a bit of arthritis, so some days my hips and joints don’t cooperate quite like they used to. I may move a little slower, and I might be a tad wobbly on my walks, but that certainly doesn’t mean I’ve lost my sense of adventure!
Oh, how I love being outside! The smell of fresh grass, the rustling of leaves, the sound of birds singing in the trees, and that gentle breeze blowing through my fur. There is something so peaceful about it all. 🌿 Now, I know some folks might see my age and think my best days are behind me. But I like to believe some of my most beautiful memories haven’t even been made yet.
Perhaps there’s a family out there who enjoys the quieter things in life. Someone who doesn’t mind taking things a little slower, who has a soft place for an old girl to rest, and who understands that love doesn’t become any less meaningful with age. I don’t need grand adventures or a busy life. Just a little kindness, a comfortable home, and someone to share my golden days with.
My foster family has already shown me that second chances are possible. Now I’m hoping my next chapter will be the one where I finally find a family to call my very own. ❤️
