🌲 Wilderness Walks! 🐾
June Schedule

Wilderness Walks — running May through September, weather permitting!

Whether you're working toward your AKC Fit Dog titles or just want to enjoy a beautiful walk in the woods with your pup, come join us! Use LHWD Wilderness Walks to rack up those points!

Trainers Scott, Melissa, Milissa, and Kate will be on-site to offer coaching and guidance along the way.

Enjoy the outdoors and stay fit this summer!

Rules:
🔹 All dogs on leash at all times
🔹 No dog-to-dog greetings
🔹 Please give all dogs and people plenty of space on the trail

What to bring:
✅ Light weights and weightpull harness for your dog or your dog's backpack (optional — a plain walk is great too!)
✅ Bug spray and anything you need to be comfortable
✅ Appropriate footwear for hiking.

Cost: $5 per dog
⚠️ Please pay close attention to location, time and leader — they are different for each walk!

Please let Melissa know if you are coming to the Wilderness Walk in Northmoreland Park tomorrow.

She was thinking about 11:00AM unless another time works for those who want to attend.

She will DM you with exact location in the park to meet. So please either comment below or message her.

Due to all of the recent rain and high warer levels. The Wilderness Walk for this evening is canceled. Stay tuned for the June schedule coming out soon.

Depending on who comes and what their goals are, the meeting spot may change to the other end of the Rock Furnace Trail which is called Roaring Run. 🌲

Pre-entries are open for Dog Day's of Summer Event. Hope to see everyone there.

You can fill out up to 6 dogs per pre-entry form as long as the owner is the same person. If you are handling a dog(s) on behalf of someone those dogs need their own pre-entry under their owner's name. We have two exciting announcements for our Laurel Highlands family!

First — "Pulls in the Park" Series is returning this summer! Your favorite summer pull series is back, and we can't wait to see you all out there.

This year's lineup includes:
Dog Days of Summer — June 27 & 28
Pups in the Park — August 29 & 30
The Great Pull of 1889 — September 12 & 13
& Introducing: Acorn & Cider Classic - Coming in Oct �
Mark your calendars — it's going to be an incredible season!

Second — and we've been sitting on this one for a while :) — Laurel Highlands Working Dogs is moving! We're transitioning out of B&D Creekside into a leased space while we finalize details with our new-to-us space. Months of planning are finally coming to life.
This community has always been about more than weight pull — it's about the bond between you and your dog, and now we'll have a permanent space that reflects that.
