It has been an unexpected, yet surprisingly joyful week at our home! Everyone, please give a woof and lots of love to Jasper!
We first met Jasper and his human seven months ago as a grooming client. We bonded over our love of French Bulldogs and what an amazing, goofy, loving breed they are. We were so impressed with Jasper's happy-go-lucky personality and he was a breeze to groom.
Unfortunately, due to unforseen circumstances Jasper's human was no longer able to give Jasper the proper care he deserves. We were asked if we would be able to take Jasper. In shock and shared sadness, we answered, "Yes, of course."
Jasper was loved, that much was evident to us. It was an extremely hard, but selfless decision. I (Aleea) cried and hugged Jasper while telling him he was a good boy who did nothing wrong. We called our veterinarians at Albany Veterinary Clinic and scheduled a wellness checkup ASAP.
Here's what we know about Jasper:
- He is 6 1/2 years old.
- He was born in Tennessee.
- He is a healthy boy and passed his wellness checkup with flying colors! His vaccines are now up to date. But at 29lbs, he has some weight to lose and he has been put on a diet.
- We are his FOURTH home.
- He is Mr. Congeniality! He has the most wonderful, friendly, easygoing personality. He loves people, other dogs and cats. He has blended into our pack seamlessly and our pack has accepted him.
- He is the biggest cuddlebug ever. He openly seeks affection and he will happily sit on the couch with you for hours.
- When he gets nervous, he drools.
- He *loves* b***y scratches.
- He *loves* to go bye-bye in the car.
Jasper has certainly been a surprise and yes, we do feel crazy to have added another dog to our home! Dogs are 16+ year commitments!!! They are family to us. He is an amazing dog who absolutely deserves a chance! Look at that handsome face and tell us, could you say no?
