Thank you all for your support and choosing the adoption option! Feline Underground Rescue was founded in order to fill a need in the Inland Empire community that exists because too many unwanted or abandoned cats and kittens are being needlessly euthanized in shelters. Our resources are dedicated to rescuing many of these cats and kittens either directly from the shelters or before they are turne

d in to a shelter in order to save their lives, provide them the necessary medical care and prepare them for adoption. Our adoptable cats and kittens will go to their forever homes having been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested for Feline Leukemia, and treated for fleas and worms while being lovingly cared for in a network of foster homes and adoption centers run by volunteers. Potential adopters are carefully screened via an application process which our Board of Directors has designed with certain parameters to adhere to. Our network of foster families specializes in nursing back to health the sick or underage kitties that often do not get the opportunity to be adopted in shelter situations. Volunteers of all ages and stages of life are welcomed and trained in the areas they can comfortably provide their services to our organization in order to serve the community.

Featured Kitty for Adoption šŸˆā€ā¬›šŸ¾šŸ˜»
Meet Dusty!
Dusty is a super sweet senior girl (about 12 years old) who loves affection and scritches. She is also fairly mellow and prefers to hang out on her cat tree and watch the world go by (especially while soaking in the sun at the window). She is not super playful, and loud noises or fast movements tend to cause her to hide. She would prefer a quiet home, perhaps with another mellow kitty, but she does better when she's the only pet. She requires a prescription diet for urinary health (currently on Hills C/D Multicare Stress dry food and various urinary care wet foods) to prevent her from getting inflammation of the bladder which can cause further urinary issues. She does well on the special diet and has been cleared by a vet for adoption. Her breed and color best fits an American Shorthair Smoke (her fur is black with gray and white undertones), but we don't really know for sure. Dusty is good company, likes to stay close by. She’s well behaved, uses scratching post and does not scratch furniture.
Faithfully uses liter box, no accidents.
Not a picky eater, likes her dry food and wet food too.
She entertains herself by fetching a fuzzy ball ā€œher preyā€.
She like to sit next to her people, but is not a lap cat.
Likes being petted and scratched on the chin.
She sleeps in her own room, and does occasionally snore, but will cuddle in bed.
She’s a sweetie!

Cats adopted through FUR will be vaccinated, spayed or neutered, tested for Felv/FIV and they are microchipped prior to adoption. Typical Adult cat adoption donations are $125, cash or cards accepted, sorry no checks. Southern California residents only, we do not adopt to residents not within driving distance of our adoption centers. Please visit our website, www.felineundergroundrescue.com to submit an application.

Fostering kittens can be awesome, but every once in a while we come across hard times. We just got the awful news that Steven, a six month old kitty that was born in foster care back in March, now has FIP. We are confident we can help him beat this terrible (formerly fatal) disease, just like Voodoo did, with the experimental treatment from UC Davis’ studies. However it is VERY costly. $300/week at his current weight but as he grows he will need a higher dose. Full treatment will cost us at least $5,000 depending on how much weight he gains, plus the cost of blood work. If you are willing and able to donate to his care, it would be SO appreciated. ANYTHING helps! Visit our website, www.felineundergroundrescue.com to donate via PayPal with the Donate button at the top right corner of the home page. Or privately message us to discover other ways to donate if you don’t have PayPal. Thank you in advance for helping us save Steven’s life!

We have finally beaten the odds! Feline Underground Rescue, in collaboration with our San Diego sister rescue Baja Paws, has finally come across the rare and elusive Male Calico! They are so rare that it is practically always assumed that a calico or tortoiseshell is going to be a female, but this time it isn’t! The odds are about one in three thousand!
