📣 Attention Paws Family – Please Read

We want to take a moment to speak with honesty and transparency, as we always strive to do. Beginning Wednesday, August 6th, there will be a price increase that will apply to all current and future clients.

This decision has not been made lightly. Like many small businesses, we are facing the ongoing challenges of rising costs and inflation across the board. In order to continue providing the high-quality care, attention, and service your pets deserve—and to keep our doors open to serve our community—this adjustment has become necessary.

We understand that price changes can be difficult, and we’re here to answer any questions you may have. An updated price list will be available in-salon, and we are more than happy to send it to you directly via Facebook Messenger upon request.

We truly appreciate your continued support, understanding, and loyalty. Thank you for trusting us with the care of your beloved pets. It is an honor we never take for granted.

Hello Paws Family,

❤️🤞🏻As we step into a brand-new week, we’re keeping our paws crossed that this one brings a bit more calm and a lot more ease than the last. Last week was a whirlwind—while we were thrilled to introduce the newest member of our team to your amazing fur babies (and that part truly was a success), nearly everything else around us decided to test our patience and endurance.

🥳We’re happy to report that our main dryer is back up and running—knock on wood—with a fresh tune-up and some much-needed rest. We’re hoping it sticks around for the long haul without any more surprises.

☺️As many of you know, we are still in training with our new team member, and while things should run more smoothly than last week, time frames may still be a little unpredictable. That said, we’re working hard to avoid the frantic energy of last week—so long as the world cooperates.

🛑We also want to take a moment for a very important reminder, especially for families with multiple pets. A grooming appointment for two pets is not a quick two-hour service. For example:
• Two small pets may take about 3.5 hours on average.
• For larger pets or more than two, expect at least 4+ hours.

‼️We will not and cannot compromise your pet’s safety, comfort, or the quality of their groom just to meet unrealistic time expectations. Rushing through grooming leads to stress on your pet and a dramatic drop in the results you deserve. Rest assured, your pets are in a calm, clean environment with fresh water, cozy bedding, toys—and, of course, our loving team. If anything out of the ordinary happens, you will be the first to know. We have and always will be transparent with our clients!

🐶We also want to acknowledge something we’ve fallen behind on—pet photos! We know how much you all love seeing those sweet faces, and we love sharing them just as much. As the pace begins to settle and routines return, we promise the adorable photo updates will too.

🐾 Hello Paws Family 🐾
We wanted to take a moment to touch base and fill you in on the whirlwind of a week we’ve had here at Wizard of Paws.

As some of you may know (and others are just now learning), we are deep in the Dog Days of Summer.
Now don’t get us wrong—every day is a “dog day” at our salon, but this… this is different.

For a little background:
The Dog Days refer to the hot, sultry stretch of summer that historically coincides with the rising of the star Sirius, aka the “Dog Star.” Ancient astrologers associated this time with heatwaves, thunderstorms, fevers, mood swings, bad luck, and general chaos. So… basically, July. 🔥💀🐾

Now, let’s get into our very own humbling list of Dog Day Disasters:
• 🏥 One of our staff ended up in the ER to kick the week off—but thankfully they’re okay and back in action.
• 💨 Our main dryer, essential for our big floofy friends, decided to give up on life mid-week. It's now on a well-deserved vacation (being serviced) and should return to duty soon.
• 🧼 Soap bottles? Dropped.
• 🐾 Groomers? Tripped over air.
• 🐶 Pups? Moody.
• 🛠 Tools? Throwing tantrums.
• 🤧 Illnesses, surprise injuries, last-minute changes… you name it, it happened.

But even with the chaos, we’re still here, trekking on, sweating through the madness, and clinging to our love for every pet that walks through our door.

We’re thrilled to have welcomed a wonderful new team member and have made new furry (and human) friends this week. Despite the setbacks, we’re still doing what we love, and that matters most. 💛

A couple gentle reminders:

If your pet’s groom takes longer than usual, we promise they’re not being neglected. Odds are they’re lounging on a comfy pillow, snuggling with a team member, or getting a little extra TLC while we juggle everything behind the scenes.
We always do our best to keep you in the loop and accommodate changes, but sometimes life throws curveballs no one can predict.
We deeply appreciate your patience, your kindness, and your continued support through these blistering, chaotic days. We’re only human—but we’re humans who love your pets like our own. 🐕✨

Here’s to hoping the back half of the Dog Days treats us all a little more gently. Stay cool out there, and give your pets a big hug from all of us here at Wizard of Paws. 💦🐾💛

We want to sincerely apologize for any longer grooming times lately. One of our groomers had to make an unexpected emergency room visit, and we are wishing them a quick recovery.
In the meantime, we’re also diligently training our newest team member, teaching them our standards for safe, loving pet care. Grooming may take a bit longer than usual during this transition, and we thank you for your patience.

✅ **Physical Capability** – Must be able to **lift up to 50 lbs** and **stand for extended periods of time**.
✅ **Animal Lover with Patience** – An **abundance of patience and a deep love for pets** is absolutely required.
✅ **Customer Service Savvy** – Friendly and professional communication with pet parents is a must.
✅ **Team Player** – You’ll be working closely with your coworkers and need to follow a **very precise daily routine**.
✅ **Noise-Tolerant** – Must be able to work in a **loud environment** for most of your shift.
✅ **Detail-Oriented** – Able to follow **specific pet care instructions** and maintain a **strict cleaning regime** throughout the day.
✅ **Experience Recommended, but Not Required** – We’re happy to train the right person with the right attitude!
