We homestead because we care. About our land, about people, and about doing something extroidinary for communities.

Helping Bluegrass Homestead means more garden, more to share. We want to feed people in our communities and show others the benefit of a shared idea. What is this Idea? One Seed! That’s right, one seed and you can change lives. One tomato has hundreds of other tomatoes living inside it. One cucumber, One pepper, hundreds of seeds. When we are arguing over laws and regulations about tax dollars and spending we aren’t focused on the solution, only the problem. This is about being self sufficient, not relying on a program or a system to feed us. The grocery stores have seen numerous cases over the last few years, and growing, of food that is unsafe to consume. At the end of the day, why aren’t we asking the real questions? Where does our food come from? Why is it shipped from so far away? Aren’t there farmers in my town? Yes, yes there are. Farmers markets are wonderful but not everyone has access. But what if everyone had access to a pot, a grow box, an indoor greenhouse, land? Anyone can grow food, in an apartment, in a yard. Let’s take back our land, our food and our own health. How to do this? Share, Learn Grow. They all start with One Seed. One Seed can feed the world!
