Wilton Animal Rescue’s founders, Carol and Leon, are introducing a special program for our community and followers: Over the Rainbow Bridge 🌈🐾 — a heartfelt way to honor beloved pets who have passed away. 💛
✨ How it works:
Dog owners who have lost a cherished companion can bring a collar and a dog tag engraved with their pet’s name and place it on the front gate of Wilton Animal Rescue as a tribute. 🐕💖 11380 Colony Road, Wilton CA
Once your collar is dropped off, please email us at 📩 [email protected] and share the story of your pet.
When new dogs are rescued, we will give them a name in memory of the pets honored at our Memory Gate — keeping their spirit alive while giving another dog a second chance. That rescue dog will wear your pet’s collar and tag while we search for their forever home. 🏡🐶
To make it even more meaningful, you’ll have the chance to join us in the process—spreading the word, sharing their story, and helping to find a loving home for the dog who carries your pet’s name. 💕
It’s a way of turning the loss of a pet into love — and that love into a new life and home for a rescue dog. ❤️🌈🐾
If you use this idea at your rescue or shelter, please mention or tag that you got the idea from Wilton Animal Rescue. We encourage all of you to put this in place but be sure and ask us first so we can share with the excitement with you - we know it will give families, friends, and neighbors a place to mourn and celebrate their dogs.
