Zoelina's Pet Care

Zoelina's Pet Care Pet Sitter / Dog Walker I’d like to take the time to tell you a little about myself and Zoelina’s Pet Care. She will forever be a part of my heart.

My name is Tina Jones; I am from the small town of Pulaski, Virginia and through my life’s journey I have landed here in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My passion for animals goes back to my childhood beginning with my first dogs, which were Chihuahuas named PeeWee and Susie. I adopted my first dog Zoey from the Humane Society when I was 27 years old. She taught me so much about patience and unconditio

nal love. In my 30’s I began volunteering at no-kill animal shelters and enjoyed every minute of it. The more I volunteered the more my heart grew for these dogs/cats that were left abandoned through no fault of their own. Through this work I fostered my first dog named DaVinci. DaVinci was a Rottweiler who had seen his fair share of pain. After caring for him and bringing him back to health and happiness, a fire was ignited inside me to take a chance at beginning my own pet sitting/dog walking business, which is how Zoelina’s Pet Care came to be, named after my girl, Zoey. I now have a rescue dog named Keona (Kiki) who is my sidekick and my best friend. Her name means gracious gift from God and that is exactly what she is. Thank you for taking the time to peruse my page. I look forward to working with you and your four legged friends. If you have any questions or would like to discuss setting up a meet and greet, dog walks, drop in visits or overnight sits please feel free to contact me. While cats and dogs tend to be my most popular clients, I am willing to care for any pet you may have whenever the need may arise. Gratefully,

Tina Jones

Fuzzy was the “elder” of our senior family. He had been a routine walk/drop in visit for 3 years. His daddy Barry let me know that he crossed over bravely in February 🌈🙏😞

🥶Record lows are coming; Here's our 4️⃣cold weather safety tips for pets!

❄️Tip 1 – Bring Pets Inside!
When the temperature drops, bring your pets in! At 45°F pets sensitive to the cold (small pets, senior pets, and short haired breeds) should be brought indoors or provided a heating source to maintain an air temperature above 45°F.

❄️Tip 2 – Keep Your Pets Warm
You can keep your pets warm by putting on a non-restrictive sweater or jacket. Give your pet a cozy blanket, bed or towel for added warmth and comfort on chilly days. If you have a double coated breed avoid shaving their coats, especially during winter months.

❄️Tip 3 – Check Your Car for Critters!
Small animals such as cats, racoons and opossums may seek warmth from your car engine. Before you start up your car, give your hood a good tap, or honk your horn to give any hiding critter an opportunity to come out before you drive away!

❄️Tip 4 – Watch the Heat!
Turning on the heat? Make sure it’s not too hot for your pets!
Pets can overheat and suffer a heat stroke if inside your home is too warm (85°F+) and/or not properly ventilated. Signs of heat distress include panting, hyper-salivating (drooling), vomiting, and collapse. Avoid allowing your pet direct and prolonged exposure to heating such as fireplaces and space heaters. Never leave open flames or space heaters unattended –it’s a fire hazard!
