Still one of my favorite inhabitants!

Neocaridina gets its name from “neo” meaning new, and Caridina, the older shrimp group it was separated from when scientists realized these shrimp followed a different evolutionary line. A small name change that later turned into one of the most popular shrimp groups in the hobby.
Paired with Rotala green, that deep red really hits differently. The contrast is simple, clean, and somehow never gets old, one of those combinations that just makes sense the moment you see it.
