After much thought and growth, I’ve officially parted ways with Rover and am now running my pet sitting business independently as A La Barke 🐾💼

This is a huge and exciting step forward for me, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the support I’ve received along the way. If I’ve ever cared for your pets (or you know someone looking for a reliable sitter), word of mouth means everything as I grow this small business with love, trust, and a whole lot of belly rubs! I’ve had the pleasure of keeping different species and cant wait to see how far this business goes. Maybe eventually opening my own hotel for pets, haha!

Our Memorial Day was definitely one to remember. We’re so excited to introduce our very first feline clients since relocating, and to say we fell in love is an understatement. Remi and Juno stole our hearts from the moment they arrived, and we couldn’t have asked for sweeter companions to start this new chapter with. Caring for them felt just like loving our own. 💛🐾 These two adorable kittens were a little shy at first, but it didn’t take long for them to warm up and show their sweet, silly personalities! 🥹💛 Remi and Juno quickly made themselves at home—playing with plastic bags, batting at straws, and exploring every cozy corner. 🎒🧃✨ At night, they turned into the ultimate snugglers, making biscuits and purring their way right into our hearts. 💕🍞🐾 We absolutely loved having them and can’t wait to welcome them back for more cuddles, playtime, and purrs! 😻

While cat boarding is less common, there are dedicated sitters like us who happily welcome feline guests. Even in homes with dogs, we take every measure to ensure your cat’s comfort, safety, and well-being throughout their stay. Your pet’s peace of mind is our top priority.

We wanted to show you what a black fly bite will look like on your dog’s belly, as this time of year we receive a lot of calls from worried owners that their dog may have ringworm or a tick bite bullseye.
