A gentle breeze rippled through the long grass of a quiet, semi-rural road. Slowing down to enjoy the peaceful drive, a driver suddenly slammed on the brakes. Sitting right at the asphalt's edge was a lone black cat. Strangely, there were no houses, buildings, or food sources anywhere in sight.
Instead of running away, the cat waited calmly. Acting on pure instinct, the driver scooped her up and placed her safely in the car. There was no time to debate the choice—even though two large dogs with high prey drive were waiting at home. The reality of the situation was clear: a cat does not end up entirely alone in an empty field by choice. This sweet girl had been intentionally dumped and discarded.
She is currently safe and cared for in a temporary garage setup, but she urgently needs a dedicated foster home. To heal, she needs an environment where she can learn to trust humans again through patience, nurturing, and love.
Please text 910-599-2755 if you can open your heart to foster this girl and help write her happy ending.
