Yesterday was a very sad day here at Brookside as we lost Melissa’s beautiful boy Whiskey aka Bug. I’d like to give a huge shout out to Dr. Shannon Guy for her wonderful care and rushing here four times in two days. Thank you to Denise for being here and being part of our support team.

18 years ago the dream of having my own foal came true, I bred my aunts mare to a gorgeous paint stallion and 17 years ago Bug (my solid sorrel boy) was born. I held him as he came into this word, today I held him as he left this world. After a 36 hour battle to save his life we lost. I can’t remember life without him in it and it’s going to be so hard to adjust to his absence. Run in those green pastures with your mom, Thorn and Sassy. ❤️
