Sugar Haven Rescue currently has 131 sugar gliders in our care
54 of them are with Leah right now
📍 12 gliders still need to be neutered
📍 89 are waiting for loving, permanent homes
The rest are either part of our sanctuary, sick, quarantined, or on baby watch
Donations have slowed. Adoptions have slowed
But the work hasn’t
We’ve had to close intake just to keep our heads above water, yet we’re still spending hours every week helping people rehome their gliders because there’s nowhere else for them to turn. On top of that, we’re drowning in adoption applications from people who give up the second they realize sugar gliders actually take effort to care for. We’re not rejecting them. They’re walking away
It’s exhausting. It’s disheartening
