Yesterday was just such an awesome day. I have more to share.

Tatiana had her first ride on her baby Friesian that I started under saddle myself as well. Like Abraxas, they did so much stuff with her at home before they brought her here that the process was a lot easier. Getting on her first few times she was like mmm not sure, after we worked on trust and confidence, getting on is a lot smoother. Included in this is Stella and Is first trot together under saddle!🥹

It’s been just about 30 days with her so far and I am so excited for this young mares future! She’s so smart and I have really enjoyed watching their first ride. It kind of made me teary eyed because Tatiana and her family puts so much love and care into these horses so I know she was beaming with pride! ❤️

Bittersweet moment but a testament to our program here. 👏🏽

This is Abraxas. He is a 6 year old quarter horse. We started this horse under saddle ourselves. Luckily for me, he had pretty awesome groundwork when my client bought him so it wasn’t starting from straight scratch but from putting a saddle on and riding him , that was my job.
Secondly, his owner has been helping me train him under saddle. She has been working hard so it’s been a good team effort to make him this awesome.

He has only been started in my lesson program for about 2 weeks. The first while was me breaking him and getting him started, and then I finished him out along with his owners help and hard work!! The goal for him is to be used in a lesson program and after our time with him, we believe that he’s almost there to be a lesson horse.

So proud of you buddy! 🐴 I also can’t forget to give praise to my 6 year old student who has been ridding the same horse for quite sometime who is very slow and a kick ride girl. Learning how to trot on him has been hard for her but she’s getting it! Second ride on him. I am proud of her for being open to trying new things and she made a new friend 🥹

We want to say congratulations to our group of horses that went out and had a great weekend with lots of learning at WEC this weekend!

Nothing of the weekend was absolutely perfect, but we all had fun and now we are taking all we learned to continue practicing!!
