On this national Pet Day, I can think of no greater gift than this article and story.

Being a vet and a breeder has taught me to look at the animal/human bond from so many perspectives. At the end of the day, our show dogs will retire and settle into a different life.

I know that all of the puppies I have raised have been blessed with phenomenal families and lives. The story of Lacey Curry and Drive is one that I’m very proud of. And, even though I’m not raising puppies anymore, all of the time and energy invested were well worth it just to read this.

I could not be more thrilled! This little guy left to live with the Swicegood family today! Olivia and her parents, Tim and Judy, have been clients of mine at Country View Pet Hospital, Inc. since just after opening the clinic. I’ll get to see this guy grow up and know that he has the best home! ❤️
