This week I had Faith shadowing me for her senior project.
I was honored for her to approach me to see what goes into the day to day of being a farrier.
We had the oppertunity to talk about being in a trade, horse anatomy, pulling shoes, and forging a handmade horse shoe together.
It was enjoyable for the both of us.
Being able to talk and educate about the why's and how's of your profession really solidify what you know, what you think you know, and what you don't know. It's a blessing we have the choice to learn more if we desire.
I wish Faith the best on her journey after high-school! 🌹

Happy Wednesday🌹

A little mid-week motivation --
Just because someone isn't active on social media conforming to the perfect social norms, doesn't mean they're not doing the work.
Also, why are people so concerned? It just takes away the glory of what they can be achieving. Rumors say more about the people spreading them more so than the person they're actually talking about. Want to know something about someone? -Ask them directly.
Be inspired, but don't sit in that stage too long. Life is waiting for your greatness. Give yourself and others grace, we're all just doing our best. Try not to project and judge too harshly. No one is perfect.
Lastly, Do it for you, no one else!! That's where peace is found. It's depressing to think we will all be buried 6 ft underground one day, but its also so liberating that we get to live the life we choose and grow into. Let's finish this week off great🙂

Hey everyone 🙂
Along with shoeing horses, I've taken up photography!

This is one of my recent shoots with good friends of mine shoeing some long footed horses.
Long footed horses are considered to be saddle seat horses that wear special packages to improve the animation of their gate. There is a lot of math and science that goes into shoeing, and this type of application takes it to the next level.
Draft horses can wear a type of package as well, but they are not considered long footed horses.

So thankful for each and every vet we have here in NE Ohio!!
And we're so lucky so many are close to us.
In the western states, the nearest vet could be hours away, even during an emergency.
Our local vets work so hard and give their all. They are human, and give their best. I cant name a single vet that wakes up and thinks, I'm going to intentionally screw up a horse today. Farriers included. Theyre just out their doing their best!
They need to be thanked at every chance
