Vita Luna Stables

Vita Luna Stables Thoroughbred breaking and training farm. We specialize in breaking babies and training horses of racing age. In the winter we go to Camden, Sc or Ocala,Florida.

In the spring and summer and fall we break and train off a beautiful farm in Monkton, MD. The warm winter weather of the south allows us to train with no weather interruptions. The warm weather also is great for the young ones to grow and develop. The horses that need restarting or legging up do great being turned out part of the day.

Vita Luna's 3 yr olds Candy Love and Vita Luna head back to training March 1st. We gave them a few months off so they could grow and mature. And boy is they do just that. They no longer look immature. They are healthy, beautiful girls. Looking forward to a summer of racing with these two.

New and exciting things are happening at Vita Luna Stables.We have added two new broodmares to our band. Hip Hop Girl by Awesome Again and Chocolate Almond by Candy Ride. With spring comes babies. Dreaming of Sasha and Seville's little bundle is due around the 24 the of March. Then Sofia and Mia along with Great Notion are expecting their little one in April. Finally Chocolate Almond and Bold Warrior bring up the rear with a due date the middle of May. Stay tuned for baby news as it happens!

Candy finished a disappointing 9th at Timonium today. 4 furlongs is just not enough distance for her . We are heading to Florida on Sunday. We will look for a little longer race on the grass for her. Look for Candy and our other filly Vita Luna to race in a couple of weeks.

Candy Love is heading to the paddock for race 3 at Timonium. Alberto Delgado is in the irons so she is in good hands. Hopefully they find their way to the winners circle!!!

Vanilla Rush finished 5th first time out. She got a good race and learned a lot. She came back good and cooled out great. Look for good things to happen in this talented girls future.

Look for Michael Jester's 3 yr old filly Vanilla Rush making her racing debut at Penn Natonal. She is in the second race post time 6:27. Wish this talented filly luck.

Candy Love finished fifth in her first time out. She had a great learning experience. She was so professional about it all. She came out of the race sound and happy. There is a race at Timonium on the 28th for her. Let's hope she gets in.

Vita Luna Stables first yearling purchase Candy Love who is now a 2yr old is entered at Penn National on Thurs in the 5th race. We are so excited to see this talented young lady run for the first time.
