I never knew what to say and I said the same thing that you have all said. But until you have experienced the hurt it is impossible to understand.
I received a card from a mother that meant so much that I can't explain without sharing it.

This is by far the toughest battle you will ever face.
You will take it second by second,
minute by minute,
hour by hour,
then day by day,
week by week etc.
The intensity of the pain never lessens, but it does come less frequently.
The 1st year is for grieving & hurting.
The 2nd year is for rebuilding the new normals.
The 3rd year is for moving on with no guilt about living life.
We have to live for us, not for those we have lost.

I hope this can help somebody as much as it has touched me.

As many of you may know, our family has experienced a loss no family should ever have to endure. We have lost our son in a tragic vehicle accident.

During this incredibly difficult time, we ask for privacy and understanding as we grieve. I will be taking time away from Happy Hound K9 Training to be with my family. I am hoping to return within the next couple of weeks, but this timeline may change.

At this time, I am unable to respond to text messages, calls, or emails. I truly appreciate your patience, compassion, and support as we navigate this heartbreaking loss.

Morning trip is full but I am looking for 2 possibly 3 riders for the afternoon trip.
