It's only June 1, and the heat here already has me fondly remembering cooler days. These images are from Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas in November.

I want y'all to meet Lucky. This dude....he turns 12 soon. He's soooo very handsome with his salty face and peppered fur coat. That smile will bring you out of a deep funk, his gentle nature will warm your heart even if you try to fight it...his happiness is not contingent upon everything being ok in the world, because you are his world. If you're ok, he's ok. I'm not sure who's luckier, his loving family or him honestly. I think they are all so perfect for each other and they are the kind of family I absolutely adore.
Wait until you see his face in all of the glory of full color. You're going to love him as much as I do.
I can't wait to share.

Mother’s Day looks different in every season of life — sleepy newborn snuggles, sticky little hands, teenagers pretending they don’t want photos, grown kids bringing babies of their own.

But every version deserves to be remembered. ❤️

Today I’m celebrating all the moms, grandmas, bonus moms, foster moms, dog moms, and the women who show up with love day after day, even when nobody sees the hard parts.

And as a photographer, I’ll never stop believing that the people behind the camera deserve to be in the photos too.
