Davino's owner moved out and left him behind in the yard, tied to a fence. 💔

MEDICAL NOTES:

Heartworm LOW POSITIVE — Davino will need heartworm treatment after leaving the shelter.

Otherwise, he was documented in normal medical condition. He has received DA2PP-V, Bordetella and Rabies vaccines, deworming/Pyrantel and Advantage Multi.

BEHAVIOR NOTES:

Davino readily allows staff to leash him and walks to and from the potty yard/runs, although he pulls with excitement. He has also paid little attention to other dogs while passing their kennels and runs.

On 8/11, Davino initially greeted staff by alarm barking, but after his walk, staff didn’t hear him bark again. Back inside, he settled down near his kennel door.

Bella-Skie was documented in normal medical condition at intake. She is heartworm negative and has received DA2PP-V, Bordetella and Rabies vaccines, deworming/Pyrantel and Advantage Multi.

BEHAVIOR NOTES:

Bella-Skie was initially frightened and unsure, crouching with a tucked tail and worried expression. But with patience, this little girl began to blossom, with wiggly greetings, fast tail wags, an open-mouth smile and plenty of puppy zoomies! ❤️

One especially sweet moment says so much about her: Bella-Skie ran up to a staff member and “hugged” them, rubbing and leaning her body against them while being petted.

She’s been observed play-bowing and interacting with neighboring dogs through the fence. When no one is around, she can be found relaxing peacefully on her cot.

🙏 Bella-Skie deserves someone who will give her the patience, exercise and love a young Husky mix needs. Foster, adopt, rescue or SHARE her. Give this affectionate little girl the chance to trade shelter zoomies for zoomies in a home of her own. 🐾❤️

Texas must be so PROUD to be #1 in the Nation for the most shelter kills!! Hate this State!!
