You're Shedding Me has updated policies!

Matted fur:
If severe matting is present and the coat can not be saved we may have to shave in shorter lengths to get the mats out safely. Matting can cause redness, brushing irritation and even severe skin issues such as hematoma, and opening wounds. We are not responsible for any health possibilities listed above however will report what we find to the owner immediately.
Puppies and Senior pets:
Puppies:3months-6 months
Small breed dog: 11year and older
Medium breed dog: 9years and older
Large breed dog: 6 and older
I am aware of the Age range my pet fits into. Senior pets can become easily stressed out or become tired faster. In the event of such an occurrence will give the pet proper time to wind down or have breaks as needed. This may make groom time longer than quoted.
Puppies are still learned and need time to wind down. Puppies can easily become stressed or overwhelmed with the procedure. Breaks can be given as needed.
Flea And tick:
In The event we find live fleas or ticks we will need to use a special shampoo to remove all fleas and tics as we can not leave them in the house(home-based groomer)/ kennels with live fleas or ticks. This shampoo is an additional $7 dollars or used in place of upgraded shampoo in packages. Refusal of having the flea and tick treatment will result in us stopping service and being charged for only Services that have been completed. This shampoo can only be used on Age Appropriate dogs and dogs not meeting the age requirements will have to be sent home.
Cancellation / no shows:
We will consider a pet a no show after 15 minutes of no contact with the groomer. After this time the appointment will be canceled. After 3 no shows or canceled appointments you will be placed on a probation period and only be allowed to make same day appointments( availability depending).
We are a home based groomer and ask that the pets be picked up 1 hour after we have completed the groom. Failure to pick up your dog may result in daycare/kennel fees.
Creative Coloring:
*All coloring products are non toxic fda food grade coloring*
If you have any questions on pet coloring the process or ingredients please ask your groomer!
Semi permanent fur coloring is available on request. Coloring may not come out as planned. Coat type/texture/ color can all change how pet coloring comes out. Pet color Is not recommended for everyday use. Some dogs may have reactions to products inside of colouring. It is recommended to test a small area before continuing to decide on larger areas. Price is subject to change depending on what part of the body is being dyed, how much is being dyed and colour availability. Coloring can last up to 100 washes or fade after 1 wash.
We will not color dogs if it is an unreasonable request. Please have fun but do not get carried away.
Emergency during groom:
Your pet is our number one concern! We do recognise accidents happen. In the event of a life threatening emergency your dog will be immediately rushed to the nearest vet. We will not be held responsible for already Existing medical conditions such as seizures, heart disease ,Allergies or any other preexisting conditions. We will not be held responsible for injuries due to matting(see matting section). Injuries obtained during groom will result in on spot treatment(quicks being cut, minor scrapes or Knicks) and will be reported to the pet parent immediately. The pet parent will have a choice on the continuation of the groom or ending the groom. Should groom be ended no charge will be made, however a completed grooms will still result in full payment unless discounted by groomer. More serious injuries will result in the dog being immediately taken to the vet.
Puppies/ and double coat shaving:
Puppies; until they become 6 month old they still have puppies coats. It is recommended that they get puppy trims or face feet and f***y trims until they are ready for a big kid haircut. Some puppies have difficulties being focused on the table and can result in being half groomed. Prematurely cutting puppy hair can also result in failure for hair to grow back it to grow back different colors/ patchy. If moving forward with puppy grooming we will not be responsible for any of the listed above.
Shaving double coated dogs; We HIGHLY recommend against shaving double coated dogs. Shaving a double coat dog can result in inability for the dog to maintain proper body temperature Coat damage or skin damage. Increase of Shedding can be expected. We are not responsible for any injuries or damages as a result of double coat shaving. Please ask the groomer for other solutions before continuing with double coat shaving. Any groomer has the right to refuse double coat shaving as it can be so harmful to pets.
