Tootsie. Came back for Part 2 of the Puppy All Inclusive. Still full puppy brain but turning the corner soon, we put a lot of focus on her stability to remain in command, leash walking, and recall offleash. Jax. Came back for part 2 of the Puppy All Inclusive training with RidgesideK9 Tidewater, Va. His owners had done a great job maintaining the foundation of what we showed them in Part 1, but now Jax needed to solidify his recall and more help managing his excitement in meeting other people and dogs. Rocket and Rye. Dynamic duo with polar opposite personalities. One- super hyper, spastic 100 mph. The other- strong, silent, sometimes stubborn type. Both got the 3 week treatment at RidgesideK9 Tidewater, Va spa and learned the basics with which to build on. By the end we were able to wow their parents with Offleash boundaries and behaviors both in and outside the home. Super proud of these two ☺️

Tootsie. A gorgeous chocolate lab that needed help with all the things. Walking on the leash. Nipping. And Jumping. In the first phase of the Puppy All Inclusive training with RidgesideK9 Tidewater, Va we focus on luring and shaping everything with puppies and use what already motivates them (eating) in association with positive reinforcement regarding the things that will go on to become expected behaviors and commands. When they return for phase 2 we are able to build on what we already showed them in phase 1 and that the family has maintained. Moving on to increasing expectations in areas like remaining in place for extended periods of time and bulletproofing recall behavior. Can’t wait to have this one back in training after a promising start☺️💪🏽.

Duchess. A beautiful Malinois that fully captured the essence of the breed. Wide open, all the time. Intelligent. Fearless. Back for part 2 of puppy all inclusive program with RidgesideK9 Tidewater, Va. We made sure to work on her offleash recall as she has a lot of freedom and room to run at home. Then we transitioned to working on her impulse control as we moved about in the world. This girl is a Force, and fortunately has owners that are willing to put in the work. Anxious to see how she progresses with the long life ahead of her. Way to go Duchess ☺️.

Reese. She came to us with severe separation anxiety. Inability to follow instructions. Jumping. Chewing. Pulling on the leash. And no environmentals. During her 3 weeks with us RidgesideK9 Tidewater, Va we focused on solidifying her obedience. A dog who understands the task being asked of them and that knows and trusts their owners/trainers reward and correction schedule is a happy and confident dog. It didn’t take long for this girls’ bubbly personality to come out, and as you can see from pictures, all smiles, all the time☺️ great job Reese.

Bogey. High energy pup that loved to run with his dad and follow him around the yard. Living right off the golf course he would get to run the greens in the early mornings and chase geese but recall was almost non existent. Pulled on the leash as well from all the excitement, no stability in holding commands because he just needed to be on the go, all the time. While with us at RidgesideK9 Tidewater, Va we helped him slow it down and gave him the recall every dog needs if they are going to be allowed off leash anywhere because it’s the ultimate form of freedom all the goodest boys deserve. Good job Bogey ☺️.

Marlie. A beautiful young puppy that was growing quickly and whose owners wanted to make sure to get ahead of unwanted behaviors. Living on the lake, they wanted to make sure they could recall her from the yard or the water. Walking well on leash was also high priority. We had her at RidgesideK9 Tidewater, Va for 2 weeks and refined all of that. Giving her clarity of task and reinforcing expectations was all this gal needed and she did a great job ☺️.

Gus 🥰 this lovable giant was a bull in a China shop. Could drag family down the street and often did. Sometimes found begging at the table. We could tell that he wanted to do the right thing, just needed to go to school and learn how. By the time he finished up at RidgesideK9 Tidewater, Va with his board and train, he was awesome to walk on the leash, recalling perfectly offleash, and rock solid in his place command. Super proud of his development ☺️.

Jack. Severe separation anxiety, stands at the door and barks when his owner left the house and could still be heard barking upon return. Reactive and pulling when another dog was in sight. So we went in and refined his obedience and gave him a job to do. Cemented what it means to remain in “place” and the expected leash walking behavior whenever we saw another dog.
