Sirius Shepherd Kennels

I’ve decided to change the name of my kennels, some people have asked why, let me explain.

Sirius is a star in the sky that is within the constellation Canis Major, which is Latin for “The Greater Dog”. It’s a star that flashes with rainbow colors, granted all stars seem to flash but you can see the Sirius star best because it’s literally the brightest star in the sky. I’ve noticed it before and always wondered what would be glowing the way that it does, I’ve even tried catching it on camera. I had no idea what I had been looking at all this time, until a few weeks ago when my dad called.

Dad: spell Sirius
Me: s e r-
Dad: WRONG. It’s s i r i u s.
Me: like the xm radio company??
Dad: yeah, and I know the perfect name for your kennels. Do you know what the Sirius star is?
Me: er, no idea, why?

*note* I’ve always loved and been drawn to space and planets since I was really little. (My first school project was a space box, you know, the ones where you paint a cardboard box and hang the painted styrofoam balls with fishing wire to create a solar system? I was so proud of it.)

Dad: Sirius is a star and it’s the brightest star in the sky, also nicknamed “The Dog Star”. How about that?”

So let me re-introduce you to,

Sirius Shepherd Kennels. It couldn’t be more perfect.
