I have something BIG!!! A really big deal and a big askโฆ
Not a single person in our industry isnt feeling the fear of the decline of this sport. I think it is clear that the answer, and the only answer for survival, is GROWTH! Growth is tough for a lot of reasons but I think the 2 main contributing factors are accessibility and cost. The latter being the largest. I am making accessibility my biggest priority for my program and am proud of the LARGE number of brand new folks I have brought through the door in the last 3 years! I am even more proud that I have 5 brand new faces headed to Youth Nationals this year (thatโs gotta be a first). This brings me to the cost aspect and my big ask..... I am asking anyone who can, anyone who doesn't have the ability to have a full fledged youth program, any breeding program, anyone who wants to see this industry GROW again to help support these 5 young ladies on their road to youth nationals. These girls, 2 of which are in their very first season of showing, have attended 2 or 3 class A shows this year, Region 12, a few of them are headed to Region 15/16 and then we are on to Youth. Each one of them has aspirations for a future in this industry (I think most of them want to be trainers ๐ซฃ๐คทโโ๏ธ) and the support we have the opportunity to show them is huge. No amount of support is too small and what it will mean for these girls (and their families) is more than words could say. Alone, we can only do so much, together, we can move mountains (and help send 5 brand new kids to Youth Nationals)!
