If you’re looking for a proven ranch show horse with a legitimate AQHA record who is also an absolute model citizen to be around, this special gelding is it.

XTRA GOTYER GUNSUP is a 2014 sorrel gelding by Wimpys Little Step, out of Always Gotyer Gunsup, with Colonels Smoking Gun as his maternal grandsire.

This gelding has an extensive AQHA show record with success in both Open and Amateur competition, including 𝐀𝐐𝐇𝐀 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐮𝐫. His official record also lists 𝟏𝟑 𝐀𝐐𝐇𝐀 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, spanning Ranch Riding and multiple Versatility Ranch Horse events.

His experience goes well beyond Ranch Riding. He has successfully competed in Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail, Ranch Reining, Ranch Cow Work, Ranch Cutting and Ranch Conformation, and has been shown successfully by both professional and amateur riders.

𝑯𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒔𝒐 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒐𝒑 𝒐𝒇 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒈𝒂𝒎𝒆.

In September 2026, he was:
Champion under both judges — AQHA Senior Ranch Riding
Champion under both judges — AQHA Senior Working Western Rail
at the ISHSA/AQHA Double Point Show.

Earlier that same month at the Idaho Ranch Riding Association show, he was:
Champion Ranch Riding — 1st out of 18
Champion Ranch Rail — 1st out of 21

Beyond the show pen, this gelding has been trail ridden in rural Montana and is comfortable around cattle.

This is a seasoned, versatile and proven show horse that can walk into the pen today and be competitive. He has the record, experience and versatility that are increasingly difficult to find in one horse.
