BIG thank you to the Laird family for their purchase of this guy from us at The Players Pig Sale. To say we are excited would be a huge understatement! The feedback from those who have seen him on their travels up north has been nothing but positive!

Without a doubt BLACK MARKET is one of the most unique ones in this entire set!! He’s a crossbred boar that we think has a ton of value for southwest rings that show by classification and can be used in several different scenarios in that arena!

BLACK MARKET is the $25,000 purchase from Edmond Showpigs at the 2025 The Player’s pig sale! We had seen a video prior to the sale and after watching the preview and talking to guys at the sale, we knew he was one we needed to own!

BLACK MARKET paints a memorable picture from the side with wild look ahead of his blade, a monster chest, bold blade, and ripped back. He drives away displaying a big pin set, carrying the squareness up high, down through a full rump, and awesome hind leg.
We think he is ideally suited for those basic, complete sows that just need more “wow” factor while still maintaining functionality and a square build!

As we said above, if show barrows in the southwest are your thing—BLACK MARKET has an immense amount of value!! Get in here!!

• Pen assignments figured at 2 head per pen

UNLOADING – New Process
• 12-8pm Wednesday & 8am-4pm Thursday
• Enter main gate off 13th St
• Follow the signs to staging area – DO NOT GO STRAIGHT TO BARNS
• OBSE interns will greet you to tell you unloading door and pen numbers
• Wait in line until sent to unloading door by OBSE interns
• Unload quickly and efficiently 👍🏻
• Exit fairgrounds back to 13th St, drive south on 13th St, follow signs to trailer parking lot
• If arriving after 8pm, stalling questions will not be answered until the following morning
