Have a friend looking for a nice, gentle trail horse. More whoa than go. She rides some mountain trails on the weekends so needs to be sound enough to handle a couple hour trail rides a few times a week, nothing super crazy. She’s not looking for maintenance. Please message me if you have something that would work. Under 15h, under 20yo. Would prefer for it to be in AZ but if it’s a horse I know of someone I trust might consider an out of state horse. 2022 Registered Gypsy Gelding-approx 14.2h
Here is the Gypsy that dreams are made of! If you are looking for a sweet, kind Gypsy gelding this is your guy! He doesn’t act like a 2yo. He is laid back and very respectful. He will most likely be a more whoa than go kind of guy. Already very desensitized and excellent ground manners for a young lad. He is as cool looking as you could find of a black and white paint with one white ear which really makes him stand out. I have been around a few Gypsy’s and I think this guy is my favorite. I’ve seen a lot of them that use their strength to push people around. This guy is not like that. He absolutely loves attention but he is respectful and patient. He has already been hauled around quite a bit to therapy sessions as an equine therapy horse so is pretty seasoned for such a young horse. Hasn’t been started but has been saddled and wasn’t bothered by the saddle so should be an easy one to get broke. I can’t say enough about this sweet boys disposition. If you’re looking for a sound young horse with a good clean slate you need to take a look at Wyatt.

Sophie:

The sweetest, most gentle horse you could find anywhere. If she could come in the house and snuggle with you she would! Sophie is about 15h and I was told she was 16 yo but I would say 18 plus. These kind of horses are so few and far between. Sophie is an absolutely wonderful mare. If you are looking for a safe horse that absolutely anyone can ride and is always reliable this is your girl. She is amazing on the trails and in the arena. Just the right amount of go and whoa. She has a smooth jog trot and nice lope and takes her leads in the arena. She loves to trail ride and goes whatever pace you want. For me she will walk out nice because I ask for that. She will mosey along for a beginner. She doesn’t care about dogs, quads, bikes or anything really. I haven’t found anything that spooks her. You can pony horses on her and she’s not the least bit Marish in the pen or when being ridden. She will go out alone or with other horses. She bathes, ties, hauls and loads like a dream. She has wonderful ground manners and is patient for all levels of riders. She’s currently being used as a lesson horse on the trail and in the arena for all ages of people. If you know me you know I put horses through the paces before I will vouch for them. Sofie is a gem and I’m proud to offer her. If you’re looking for a been there, done that confidence builder that pretty much anyone can ride she’s your girl.

Zipper" is a super sweet mare thats very fun to ride. she's gentle and athletic. 12yo and about 14h. Smoothest jog trot ever and a nice lope. This mare has been a trail horse her entire life and has had a couple of babies. She also has been ridden in the arena and has an amazing stop, takes her leads and is soft in the face. She loads well and hauls well, adjusts to new places with ease. She has excellent ground manners. Just about anyone can ride her who is intermediate on up. Not for a total beginner or timid rider because she can test a little sometimes. Mostly just a joy to ride. Goes out alone as well. She would be an awesome little heel horse, barrel horse, or cow horse. The sky is the limit for this pretty little girl. She's not marish at all and is very good around other horses. Shes going to make someone very happy. Fancy bloodlines with Peptoboonsmal and Daul pep on papers.

🌠⭐️Ima Swinging Kind Of Guy⭐️⭐️🌠

2017 AQHA Gelding approx 15.3h "Swagger" is a true one of a kind gelding. He is as stunning as a mover as you could find and his personality is oh so charming. He's an absolute sweetheart that really wants to please. Swagger has lots and lots of training and is very broke. He is super soft in the face and has the prettiest gaits. He absolutely floats at the trot and he has a rocking chair lope. His lope is oh so smooth! Swagger has done a lot in his 7 years. He was started on the Myers Ranch in South Dakota. He has a lot of barrel training and has been hauled and exhibitioned. He also was started on the head side and showed promise there. While being headed on last summer he got a little back sore so they injected his SI and pretty much laid him off for a couple months. Swagger has been with me now since the middle of Feb and is showing great promise. He has legged up nicely and is ready to go. He was recently looked at by Dr.Merrill who found a little soreness in his hocks. His hocks were injected and his teeth were done and Dr Merrill thinks he should have a bright future ahead of him. He thinks hocks will have to be maintained. I think he would excel in the dressage or western dressage world or maybe even ranch pleasure or ranch versatility. He may be able to go back to the barrel pen as well and if he someone can keep him maintained he is an absolute powerhouse and will be a very tough competitor. All vet records available and vet checks welcome. With some of the best barrel bloodlines in the industry and enrolled in several incentives this horse is sure to turn heads and steal hearts wherever he goes!

Super sweet mare! Approx 15.1h and 10yo this sweet grade mare has a bright future ahead of her. She’s easy to ride and super sweet on the ground. Very quiet and excellent ground manners. Will stand tied all day, great for the shoer and just easy to have around. Bathes, ties and loads. She is fun to ride in the arena with a pretty stride that could go English or be a super nice barrel/gymkhana mare. Patterned lightly on the barrels. She has blazed some real rough country and doesn’t miss a step in the rocks. She would be an awesome step up for a teen that wants a nice athletic horse to do it all on! She’s well started roping on the heel side and even has been roped out of the box some. She has a heck of a stop and it wouldn’t take much to be jackpotting on her.

Recipe for raising a “horse girl”…….

You bring them home from the hospital and instead of keeping them home you let them breathe in the smell of horses every chance you get….

Then at a few months old you prop them up in the saddle and hold them there to just sit in the saddle….

When they are 3 they say they can’t pick up the horse’s hoof …you help them but then tell them they need to finish themselves…..

You let them lead the 23 yr old faithful gelding because leading the big horse makes them feel so proud….

At 4 yrs old you teach them that the horse depends on them for water, hay, grain….Dinner might be almost ready in the house, but ponies eat first …..

At 5 years old, when she falls off for the first time, you check to make sure nothings broken, wipe her tears, then you give her a leg up and tell her to get it done, because you KNOW she’s a great rider…..

At 10 years old when she doesn’t place in her class at the horse show and she’s falling apart, you ask her if her horse worked hard for her, and then you tell her that to her horse she is #1, and to keep riding, because her horse depends on her……

At 12 years old she comes home from school and tells you another kid said something mean at school to someone she knows. She then tells you she told that kid to shut their mouth and keep it to themselves…. Then she walked off with the kid that was being made fun of……

At 13 years old her friends at the barn are as close as siblings……they support her in her wins and her falls…..the barn has created relationships that are thicker than blood….

At 15 years old her first “boyfriend” breaks up with her ….. you can tell she is upset so you both head to the barn. She wraps her arms around her horse’s neck, breathes him in, and the tears flow. But you can see that resolve emerge when she’s cantering around the ring…. She tells you her horse is better than that boy any day.

You heard others say over the years…..

“Horses are too expensive!”
“She’s going to get sick from all the germs.”
“She’s going to fall off and get hurt.”
“She spends too much time at the barn.”

When she is a young woman and leaves your home, off on her next adventure, you head out to the barn. You thank her horses, you breathe them in, you wrap your arms around them because ….

Horses helped you to create a confident, self-assured, responsible, kind, nurturing, outdoors-loving, tough as nails, throws her shoulders back and stands tall, strong woman.

To all the parents raising “horse girls” keep going, you are giving them more than just riding lessons…..
