Another ending to a great week here at Bradford Rebuilt! Starting out with Tooty and Humbolt's go home session after a 60 day start with owner Zack riding. It's be a pleasure getting them started they are off to begin there jobs as ranch horses in Northern Nevada. Introducing a new face little miss two sock in for her 60 day start on her 2nd ride! Next up is Ringo coming toward the end of his 60 days getting in some trail miles and a little work with the roping dummy. This week we are highlighting two very special horses. Beginning with Desiel. We were contacted several months ago with a particularly difficult case. As the videos we were sent in the beginning showed and have been included in this weeks video. Desiel is an 11yr old horse sold as a trail/family horse who instead had significant trauma, dangerous behaviors, and an unknown history. Desiel had a very severe bucking problem under saddle and on the ground would strike out or kick if he felt cornered. Desiels owner Rebecca a wonderful woman very dedicated to him and his rehabilitation spent months on her own building his trust on the ground. He was able to be fly masked, caught, haltered, and saddled when she felt she had brought him as far as she had experience for, Rebecca reached out to us here at Bradford Rebuilt. We are so happy that she trusted our program here and the process! It has taken over six months to bring him to where he is today with progress happening little by little. Each step was a mile stone for this guy and is truly a testament of his willingness to overcome! Now Desiel is relaxed to get on and off of, no longer bucks, and is enjoying trail rides! We look forward to our continuing work with Desiel and Rebecca! Next up is Trigger! Trigger is an estimated 17-20yr old mildly arthritic Najavo Mustang sold as a family/rope horse but true history is unknown. Triggers very dedicated owners contacted us after he had bucked them off, ran off uncontrollably undersaddle, and demonstrated very reactive fearful behaviors on the ground. They decided to invest the time into helping him recover from his previous trauma instead of rehoming him, giving this guy a soft landing for the rest of his life. We are so proud of Trigger and the progress he has made in just 90 days! His confidence has grown significantly both on the ground and in the saddle. It truly is a pleasure to get to see his owner riding him in this week's go home video! We look forward to seeing Trigger's continued work with confidence building and the training progress he will make moving forward at home with his owners! Last but not least we have Juno coming to the end of her time here working on her gate skills and getting in some trail miles riding alone! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
