Introducing Rose Flower and Flower of Life Farm! Rose is operating Firefly Farm this year and overseeing all crop production. She is a native Kansan who grew up in farm country south of Wichita where she developed a deep love of nature. From a young age, she discovered her passion for plants through organic gardening.

Gardening remained a cherished tradition when Rose started her own family. Each year, she grew and shared produce with friends and family. As her children grew older, they joined in her love of growing, and together they founded Flower of Life Farm in 2025.

The farm's name is a reminder of the interconnectedness of all things and the cycle of creation. Rose believes that food is medicine and that organically raised produce promotes physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Flower of Life Farm is committed to continually refining their practices to grow produce of the highest nutritional value and flavor.

The partnership with Firefly Farm is an exciting opportunity and Rose is excited to share her passion for quality, organically raised, non-GMO produce with family, friends and the community. Rose and the Flower of Life Farm team appreciate your ongoing support!

Make plans to attend the Earth Day Festival and Starter Plant Sale!

We are so excited for all the plants that will be available this year!
We will have tomatoes to be planted in the ground and to be planted in containers; we will have a large selection of summer crops available, including: bell, roasting, and hot peppers; we will have eggplant, okra, several types of squash, and cucumbers. We will also have a small selection of edible flowers, cutting flowers, and bedding flowers.

Everything we sell has been meticulously selected for flavor, and when available, has been grown from organic seed in premium potting soil.

In addition to the selection of starter plants, the lineup of local vendors will knock your socks off.

We put a beautiful order together today from RISE Farms and Firefly Farm to feed the Dowtown Rotary Club tomorrow for their Earth Day celebration!

We delivered arugula; purple passion asparagus; pink lady, Easter egg, and purple daikon radish, and eight types of herbs!

We are very sad to report that both our farms, Firefly Farm and RISE Farms, lost these grants to supply our locally grown food to school children and those in need via the food bank.

Thousands of schools, farmers and food pantries in the Midwest and Great Plains planned on federal dollars over the next year to support local food purchases. And then the U.S. Department of Agriculture cut the programs.
