Long time English Setter Field Trialer Don Kimble passed away last week. No services pending at this time. Don and Wayne Powers ran their setters down the road in the 70's, 80's and 90's doing their far share of winning. Don bred a High Definition bitch to Ridge Creek Cody of which I was fortunate to obtain two. This blood line has been the bases of my kennel at this time. FIREBUG and WILD AFIRE are current dogs winning out of this breeding. We extend our well wishes to Don's family. Rest in peace my friend.

Regal Rocket awarded both the KFTCA 2023-2024 any breed and Kansas Setter of year awards in the walking derby classification. He also won the only horseback trial he was entered in at the expansive Onaga, Kansas grounds.

FRANK SCHOENBORN current president of the Wichita Bird Dog Club and long time field trialer has recently been elected to the Kansas Field Trial Hall of Fame. Frank has worked tirelessly to promote field trials in the State of Kansas as well as being a fierce competitor. He has held offices in the KFTCA and judged many local trials as well as Championships and Classics. The Kansas English Setter Association Congratulates Frank on his election.
