1๏ธโฃ Start with the Head and Ears. Begin by carefully inspecting around the ears, under the collar, and around the face.
2๏ธโฃ Check the neck and shoulders, parting the fur to see the skin underneath.
3๏ธโฃ Inspect between the toes, around the paw pads, and along the legs.
4๏ธโฃ Look closely at the belly, underarms, and groin areas where ticks like to hide.
5๏ธโฃ Run your fingers along the back, tail, and base of the tail, feeling for any bumps or attached ticks.
6๏ธโฃ Comb through your dogโs fur, especially in thick-haired areas, to help detect any ticks.
โผ๏ธIf you find a tick, use tweezers to grasp it close to the skin and pull it out steadily. Place the tick in the bowl of soapy water. Keep an eye on the areas where you removed ticks for signs of irritation or infection.
๐พ Regular checks after outdoor activities can help keep your dog tick-free and healthy. ๐พ
