Hey everyone! It’s been awhile since we have posted! I hope everyone and their pups are still enjoying the dog park. It is crazy that we celebrated its 10 year anniversary this past May!

Since that time, we have had to say goodbye to the pups that inspired us to push for the park. Rex, Riley, Sam, King, and Shorty, and Hank.

If you have any pictures/memories to share from the dog park, please post them here!

We intend to make this page more active, and look forward to enjoying this wonderful park and seeing everyone’s pups!

Good morning! It is going to be a perfect day to enjoy the park! We want to remind everyone to please clean up after your pups. This will not only help the park be more enjoyable, it also helps prevent the spreading of diseases. We hope everyone is enjoying the park, and look forward to warmer weather in the coming months!

We are a little late on posting this, but we want to give a big CONGRATULATIONS to Jack Murphy on his retirement from the City of Wichita Falls. Mr. Murphy was the Director of Parks and Rec for many years for the City. When we approached Mr. Murphy with the idea of the dog park 7 years ago, he greeted us with open arms. He was overwhelmingly supportive of our efforts. Mr. Murphy, from everyone who enjoys the dog park, we give a big Thank You and Congratulations!

We want to thank Mayor Glenn Barham for his excellent service to our community. He showed his support for the dog park before he was elected mayor, and helped make it become a reality. For that, we thank you, sir. Congrats on a job well done, we will miss you.

We have already been getting calls about dogs left in vehicles while owners are inside businesses. Leave your pets at home to enjoy the couch.

ACOs are equipped with digital thermometers for temperature readings and those readings get into the 110+ range quite often. We will issue citations if you leave your pet in a hot car. Don't risk it!

If you witness a pet left in a vehicle, please call 940-761-7824 immediately.

Great advice for all park goers.
#1 and #5 are also against the dog park rules. These are the reasons why those rules are in place.

Please remember children under the age of 8 are NOT permitted in the park per City Ordinance. This means it is against the law to have children under 8 years old in the park.
