We have some great Underdogs available for local adoption! The $150 adoption fee is the best bargain you’ll find for fully vetted dogs. Don't let those good looks fool you. Oso isn't just handsome... he's smart too! Weighing in at **under 50 pounds**, he's the perfect-sized adventure buddy by day and professional cuddle expert by night. Belly rubs? Yes, please. Snuggles? He'll take all you've got.

This sweet boy is just waiting for someone to fall in love with him and say, "Yep... you're coming home with me."

Eli wasn’t from us, but we are happy for him. That’s a long time in the shelter!

Yesterday we said goodbye to Eli who has been with us for 145 days. Eli is going home with a loving semi-retired dad that is excited to have him joining the family. Eli will get to spend a lot of time outside, taking long walks, and enjoying all of the seasonal adventures.

Six years ago, this little dog, Maggie, lost her mom. She came to us via Happy Tails Dog Rescue in Seymour. She was sad, grieving her mama, and sometimes, just a bit grouchy. Isela Sanchez came along one day and asked if we had any small dogs up for adoption because she had lost her beloved dog about the same time Maggie lost her mom. They met, and even though Maggie continued to have her grouchy moments, the two quickly bonded. They had both lost someone dear to them and Isela said when she looked into Maggie’s eyes, she saw into her soul. They “got” each other. Isela sent us updates from time to time showing Maggie with her at the park or at home, happy and spoiled as a little diva should be. Then came the news of a cancer diagnosis for Maggie. The doctors weren’t sure how much time she would have left but Isela was determined that whatever time she had left, she would be pampered and would never doubt how much she was loved. She did amazingly well with such good care from her mom and the vets at P.E.T.S., but a few days ago, Isela let us know that Maggie had suddenly gotten worse and her compassionate vet had helped her across the Rainbow Bridge. We miss you, Maggie, and are thinking of you, Isela. Thank you, thank you for giving this adorable little diva six fantastic love-filled years. And thank you for this sweet memorial video. RIP Maggie Magee Sanchez.
