🚨 NY Faces $10 MILLION Lawsuit Over Killing of World-Famous Squirrel 🚨

P’Nut the Squirrel wasn’t just any pet — he was a global internet star with millions of followers. But last October, New York state agents raided his owners’ home, seized P’Nut and his raccoon buddy Fred, and executed them by decapitation for “rabies testing” — even though both tested NEGATIVE. 🐿️🦝

Now, owners Mark Longo and Daniela Bittner are suing the state for $10 MILLION, accusing officials of government overreach, animal cruelty, and destroying their livelihood. Their pets weren’t just companions — they were their business, appearing on social media, Cameo, and even OnlyFans.

The outrage has sparked calls for “Peanut’s Law”, which would require a 72-hour waiting period before any seized animal can be euthanized.

Paws Place Rescue Inc. — your local nonprofit animal rescue and public charity — is planning an exciting future fundraising event right here in Whitney, TX, and we’d love to work with YOU!

We are looking for:
🎤 Musicians/Bands – to bring great live music and energy to the event
🛍 Local Vendors – artisans, food trucks, crafters, boutiques, and more to showcase your products or services

This event will help raise funds to provide vet care, spay/neuters, vaccinations, and supplies for the animals in our care — all while supporting our amazing local businesses and talent!

🐾 Here’s Our Second Set of Puppies Found in Whitney! 🐾

These four cuties — 1 boy and 3 girls — were found back in April and are now part of our Caregiver Program. They appear to be a Lab/Pit/Bull Terrier mix and are estimated to be around 6–7 months old.

Sadly, they have not had any vaccines or vet care yet, so we will be working to get them healthy and ready for their future homes.
