Our owner Karen just wrapped an amazing project — grooming Elvis, her dear friend Sheryl’s dog, for the Tory Burch Fall 2026 collection! Her eye for detail and decades of grooming artistry shined through in every step.

We agree ! This is why we make sure we take the time needed for your pet 🙂.

Many people assume cats “just hate being groomed,” but that’s rarely the full story.

In reality, most cats aren’t reacting to grooming itself, they’re reacting to how grooming feels.

If grooming has been rushed, forced, or done when a cat was already stressed or uncomfortable, they quickly learn to associate the experience with pressure and unpredictability. That’s where resistance, avoidance, or fear responses usually come from.

When grooming is slowed down, broken into manageable steps, and guided by the cat’s comfort level, their response often changes over time. What once felt overwhelming can become far more tolerable because the grooming experience feels predictable and respectful.

This is why professional grooming isn’t just about technique, it’s about reading the cat, adjusting in real time, and building trust through consistency.

Comfort isn’t something you “add in” at the end of grooming.
