Geoff grew up with golden retrievers and Leslie grew up with cats and parakeets so we are both huge pet lovers! We are USDA Class T Carriers who are also Pet First Aid Certified through the American Red Cross. We look forward to meeting your furry friend and delivering them safely and happily to their destination on your behalf. Geoff is from the small, yet mighty state of Rhode Island. He started his career as a paramedic and later transitioned fairly seamlessly into the maritime industry. Both career opportunities provided Geoff with unique transportation skills. As a paramedic he transported people who needed personalized and immediate care. In the maritime world Geoff was transporting boats of all sizes that needed their own detailed care and attention. Leslie was born in the Turks & Caicos Islands and has been a US Coast Guard licensed Captain since 2005. She has delivered boats up and down the east coast and around the Caribbean. As a lifelong pet lover, Leslie has transported pets from Florida to Vermont via road as well as from the Caribbean by air many times. Since 2010 we have worked in the maritime industry delivering sailboats up and down the eastern seaboard and for a rustic furniture company delivering furniture door to door throughout New England. After falling into what turned into several years in the ski industry here in Vermont, we have now transitioned full time into pet transportation and have never been happier. SERVICES WE PROVIDE:
We offer an array of services caring for and transporting your beloved pets, moving housewares, motorcycles or any other items you desire. We are able to provide two sizes of crates to position in the climate controlled backseat of our Frontier’s crew cab as well as collars, harness, leash, doggie seat belts, puppy pads, food & water bowls etc. The crates measure the following: 24” L x 15” H x 17” W or 24" L x 21" H x 18" W. When transporting pets we provide bottled water and lots of love. Because each pet has an individual diet, changing their food without a gradual transition period can greatly upset their stomach. We do carry food just incase but, please provide enough of your pets desired food for the journey as well as any special toys, leash & harness so we can make sure they have all the comforts of home while they are in our care. PETS:
We provide personalized pet transportation. When transporting your beloved pet we ONLY provide solo/individual transport or pets together from the same household. This way we are only focused on one client’s needs at a time and our furry companion has our undivided attention. We offer GPS tracking with location sharing via smartphone upon request, photo updates multiple times a day and a detailed itinerary to be transparent every step of the way. PUPPIES:
The Parvovirus is an understandable concern for puppies before they are fully vaccinated. It is a common request when transporting puppies 8-16 weeks old to have a no paws on the ground policy during transport. We always ask what your preference is and we adhere to a better safe than sorry approach. We use leak proof puppy pads to keep paws off the ground and give your puppy an area to do their business outside of their crate. When getting a new puppy, always ask your transporter if they adhere to a no paws on the ground policy! Some do and some don't. CLEANING & DISINFECTING:
We wholeheartedly believe that cleaning is caring! To ensure the health of your furry companion we thoroughly clean and sanitize our vehicle, crates, food & water bowls, collars, leashes etc between each transport. We use a peroxide based, fragrance free cleaner and disinfectant from Rescue™ that is non-toxic, pet safe and approved for veterinary use. *See photos. We also use disposable, leak proof puppy pads to line our crates and change them as needed. Always ask your transporter what cleaning product they use and how they sanitize between pets! OUR TRANSPORTATION:
We drive a fully insured and inspected Nissan Frontier crew cab pickup truck with a climate controlled back seat where pets travel. Our vehicle is equipped with 4WD and brand new snow tires in the winter. The truck bed is covered with a water resistant tonneau cover and we have a trailer hitch with the towing capacity up to 5000 pounds. We provide a bed extender and flag when transporting long items. In the past we have rented U-haul trailers to assist our customers with their shipping needs making us as versatile as possible. PAYMENT OPTIONS:
Our transportation quote includes a solo ride, door to door pick up and delivery usually on the same day depending on the distance. We require a 50% deposit via Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal at the time of booking to secure the dates and our services. Once you accept our bid we will put together an official shipping agreement and email it to you for your review and signature. We accept the final 50% payment via Venmo, PayPal or cash upon delivery. CANCELLATION:
We have the following cancellation policy in place which we think is fair all around:
-We will provide a full refund of the customer's deposit if the customer cancels the shipment 72 hours or more prior to the agreed upon pick up time.
-If the customer were to cancel the shipment less than 72 hours prior to the agreed upon pickup time, the customer would forfeit the 50% deposit amount already paid.
-If we, the transporter, have to cancel the shipment for any unforeseen reason at any time we would provide the customer a full refund of the deposit amount already paid.
-If a shipment is booked last minute, (72 hours or less) the cancellation policy stands and will be the same as above.
-If a customer needs to adjust the date of shipment and we have availability, the cancellation policy would remain at 72 hours prior to the originally agreed upon pickup time and date. All that being said we are always willing to be as flexible as we can so just let us know what your situation is and we can do our best to work with you. WEATHER:
As professional mariners we are very mindful of changing weather conditions. If the conditions are too dangerous to drive in, our pickup or delivery times/dates may need to be adjusted accordingly. We are firm believers in arriving safely and soundly rather than precisely on a schedule and greatly appreciate your understanding.
