Just because animal activists say they “care” about animals doesn’t mean they understand real animal care.

Across America, animal-related businesses depend on good veterinarians and proven animal husbandry to ensure health, welfare, and sound management. But animal rights groups often drown out science with emotional rhetoric, winning the hearts of lawmakers who then become the judge, jury, and executioner over lawful animal owners and producers.

Legislation should be based on veterinary science and real-world experience, not activist pressure. There’s a major difference between Animal Rights and Animal Welfare, and every policymaker must understand it.

Know the difference. Protect those who actually work with and care for animals.
