We are excited about great opportunities at Llewellyn Acres for our horse-loving families! 🐎
Whether your rider is dreaming of owning their own horse someday or simply wants to learn more about horses, we've got something for them!

🌟 MONTHLY HORSE LEASE PROGRAM – $375/month 🌟
Is your child asking for their very own horse? 🐴 Our lesson horse lease program is a wonderful stepping stone toward horse ownership WITHOUT the full financial commitment!

Your monthly package includes:
🐎 4 Sunday group riding lessons
🐎 4 additional practice rides (not on Sundays)
🐎 4 hands-on horsemanship days (not on sundays)
🐎 Priority consideration for off-site riding opportunities
🐎 50% OFF horsemanship camps!

Riders develop independence, responsibility, confidence, and a special bond with their assigned horse. 💕
Flat monthly fee avoiding the unexpected vet bills, farrier costs, equipment costs, feed costs of horse ownership.

Students learn that horses are about SO much more than just riding! Grooming, feeding, handling, equipment care, and everyday horse management are all part of the experience.

❤️ Families can even participate in approved groundwork activities!
Appointments are required, and lease privileges are for the assigned rider.

Our goal is to help young riders develop the skills, confidence, responsibility, and knowledge needed to become well-rounded equestrians.

🐴🔥 A GREAT DAY AT THE NC STATE FAIR FOR LLEWELLYN ACRES! 🎡🏆

What an exciting day of mounted shooting, horsemanship, personal accomplishments, and making memories!

Our Llewellyn Acres crew headed to the NC State Fair for a four-stage mounted shooting competition, and we couldn't be prouder of our horses and riders! ❤️🐎

🐉🔥 LYNN & LLARIA – THE FIRE BREATHING DRAGON!
These two FINALLY found their groove and brought home their VERY FIRST mounted shooting ribbon! 🎀🏆
🥳 6th place out of 30 amazing riders!
Competing in the Open 2D format, Lynn and Llaria completed four stages:
🎯 Stage 1 – Pattern 52: 22.351 seconds
🎯 Stage 2 – Pattern 61: 20.474 seconds (+5 penalty)
🎯 Stage 3 – Pattern 90: 20.419 seconds
🎯 Stage 4 – Pattern 88: 16.350 seconds 🔥
⏱️ Total Raw Time: 81.594 seconds
🏆 Official Time: 86.594 seconds

Their final stage was their fastest run of the day!
This partnership has been a journey of patience, practice, trust, and determination. There have been challenges, learning experiences, and plenty of growing pains, but today things started clicking!

🐴💥 MARIE & PANCHO took on all FOUR mounted shooting demonstration stages!
Every trip into the arena is another opportunity to build confidence, strengthen communication, and gain valuable experience. We love watching this team continue developing their partnership and horsemanship skills!

🤠🐎 LEONARDO & SARGE – Our young cowboy Leonardo and his partner Sarge completed ALL FOUR Wrangler stages! 💙
Mounted shooting isn't just about speed or competition. It's about learning responsibility, developing confidence, improving horsemanship, and building a partnership with your horse.
Watching our wrangler continue learning, growing, and gaining experience in the arena is something special!

❤️ MORE THAN JUST RIBBONS!
At Llewellyn Acres, we believe success isn't always measured by where you finish. Sometimes it's measured by the courage to enter the arena, the determination to keep improving, and the partnership you build along the way.

Today we celebrated a first ribbon, four successful demonstration stages, four Wrangler stages, and another wonderful opportunity to do what we love!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible and to our fellow competitors for a wonderful day of sportsmanship and competition!

🐴 Keep riding. Keep learning. Keep chasing those dreams!

🐴🔫 MOUNTED SHOOTING PRACTICE UPDATE – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17 🌧️💨
Well, Mother Nature is certainly keeping us on our toes this morning! 🤦‍♀️

I've been hemming and hawing since yesterday afternoon, watching the radar on THREE different weather apps, and wouldn't you know it...they all seem to have a different opinion! 😂

Unfortunately, the latest forecast for Whiteville is showing increasing chances of rain throughout the morning, temperatures dropping into the upper 50s, and north winds reaching 17–19 mph.

As much as I LOVE hosting mounted shooting practices, coaching riders, and providing opportunities for everyone to learn and improve, Mother Nature sure knows how to make planning challenging!

I wish more than ever that we had an indoor arena!
Safety for our horses, riders, and volunteers will always come first. Wet footing, gusty winds, and unpredictable weather aren't exactly ideal conditions for mounted shooting.

I truly appreciate everyone who has offered to come ride, help set balloons, and support our practices. Your time and willingness to help mean so much!

Sometimes the hardest part of hosting an outdoor event is knowing when Mother Nature just isn't going to cooperate.

Thank you all for your patience, flexibility, and understanding! ❤️🐴 See you at the next one.
