Fun Fact Friday with AW Equine Collective
Though they may not look the prettiest, wild horses don't need much help when it comes to their hooves! From constantly moving along different terrains they naturally wear them down, while their diet also promotes strong hoof growth.
The horses we keep in our barns don't normally get to run on hard surfaces, so we need the farrier to come and trim their hooves for them! Using a number of tools, kind of like a spa treatment, they can get the job done in no time. We can also give them supplements to support strong growth if it is something they struggle with!
