They are here! SEEDS, thousands of them! Each one sprouts, grows and provides nutritious food to us all. This process never ceases to amaze me.
Additionally, we are so grateful to those who focus there energy on saving seeds. We rely on these individuals to preserve our foods genetic diversity, providing resiliency and much much more.
Have you ever stopped when eating your favorite item and asked yourself where did this come from? I’m talking beyond where was it grown. I’m talking about who farmed the seed? who bred the plants to create the variety? Where in the world did this plant originate? So many questions all wrapped up in a perfect little package.
We are grateful for for being one of our communities seed savers 🙏 we gave Robin some of our heirloom tomatoes so she could save the seeds. Then this year when our seed catalogs arrived our favorite heirloom Italian Roma seed was not available! Instantly I contacted Robin to see if she had some of the seed. Yes!!! Was her reply, so this year we will have again our beloved Italian Roma.
