This nice little road and trail safe gelding is looking for a new home. He is a grade Standardbred, 14.2 hands and is a 5 year old that has been used as a buggy and riding horse here in Whitefield by his Amish owner. He is offered for sale because he is a bit small for his owner’s use. Asking price is $3800.00 and can be seen at 39 Mills Road in Whitefield or Message me and I can help make arrangements to see.

Note to anyone riding on our trail ride today. Route 194 west of the Sheepscot River is closed due to construction! An easy alternate route(not the DOT Route) is the Nash Road to Route 218 back to Route 194 east side of the Sheepscot River.

Join us this Sunday, October 12th for the Fun & Games Trail Ride. Riders out between 10:00 and 12:00. Games include find items on the trail to win a prize, a scavenger hunt, poker game with a bit of the find the cards twist . Great food and prizes after the ride. All to benefit the Whitefield community. $30.00

Trail Ride at Acorn Hill Farm on Sunday, October 12th. Join us for a fun day of riding at your own rate with friends, see the great foliage, have lunch after the ride and try out some of the fun games we are going to offer. The judged trail challenge will not be happening but the obstacles are available to try out. Cost is $30.00 including lunch and game participation.

Trails are marked and the weather looks good. Join us for the benefit trail rides this Saturday and Sunday. Riders out between 10:00 and 12:30 each day . Ride at your own rate on marked trails. Cost $25.00

I am going to offer a benefit trail ride Sunday, August 3 with lunch following the ride here at Acorn Hill Farm. Come ride our great trails, test your skills on the obstacle courses and have a fun day with friends. First riders out around 10:00 AM, cost $25.00 lunch included to benefit the restoration efforts for the Kings Mills Union Hall here in Whitefield.Marked trails, ride at your own rate with different mileage options.If Sunday doesn’t work for you just come and ride Saturday,August 2nd, but I will not have the lunch option available on Saturday.

Sad to hear of the death of one of the Acorn Hill Farm trail riding friends. Veronica was a regular at our rides whether she was out on the trails or just enjoying the company at our lunches after the rides. Plus she made me the best slipper socks! My condolences to Ben and all of her family and friends.

The bay is 11 years old, quiet slower driving horse, 16.0 hand easy to handle, considered a women’s driving horse. $3200.00 The black is 17 years old excellent road horse, easy to drive, more forward than the bay, also has been ridden, 15.3 hands, well mannered, $3500.00. The Maine Abandoned and Discontinued Roads Commission is requesting public comment on their work to establish laws in regards to these roads that many of us use and as many of you know I have personally had huge issues with a new “ out of state” neighbor.
