🛑 This is not a shame post! 🛑
I would love to take this opportunity for an example on why it’s so important to find a certified professional groomer!
🤔 Did you know that WV does not require formal certification, schooling or license to open a grooming shop⁉️
I’m not a believer that there is only one right way to do things … HOWEVER there are ways to learn correctly! There are ways to make an uncomfortable situation as comfortable as possible. Ways to keep your pet calm, reassured that things are going to be fine ! It’s important that your groomer knows when to take a break , when to read your pets body language!
I have to be honest I have seen some funky fur-dos . 🥴 That truly doesn’t bother me as bad as knowing they have not been properly trained how to make your pet as comfortable as possible! Fur can be fixed but fear takes much longer to get over.
I’m not saying to just jump up and leave your groomer . I’m just saying to take a minute to ask questions! Pay attention to your pets demeanor ! YOU are your pets best advocate! 🫶
