❄️ Reminder: Bring Your Pets Indoors! ❄️

Temperatures are dropping dangerously low tonight! 🥶 Please make sure your pets are safe and warm—animals left outside without proper shelter are at serious risk.

🐶🐱 The law requires that pets left outside in extreme weather have adequate shelter, but the best way to keep them safe is to bring them inside.

Whether they’re furred, feathered, or scaled, all pets need warmth and protection in this cold. Stay safe and keep your loved ones—human and animal—warm! ❤️🔥

As we move into the late afternoon/evening today there will be extremely cold conditions in our area. Tonight's low is forecasted to be 14 degrees but there will also be high winds. These bitter cold and windy conditions will persist throughout the day on Wednesday with a high of 27 and a low of 13 that day. It is extremely important to limit your outdoor exposure during these conditions. Be sure you are properly dressed and don't have exposed skin if you are going to be outside. Also, take all usual freezing weather precautions such as dripping indoor faucets, covering outdoor faucets, and bringing pets inside. The City will be monitoring the freezing conditions throughout the coming days. While serious icing is not expected, Public Works crews will be on standby should de-icing operations be needed. They will also have crews ready should anyone need their water shut off due to frozen pipes. Please take all necessary precautions over the next few days as we get through what looks to be the final winter weather of the year.
