Meet Chico — 2 years old and learning to trust again.

Chico hasn’t had the best start in life. He was abandoned by his owner and found very thin. Since coming to us, he’s put on some weight and is looking so much better — but what he really needs now is a home.

Chico is very shy and not trusting in humans yet. He might take a minute or two to warm up to you, but it’s worth the wait. When he does, you’ll see the softest eyes and the gentlest heart. He’s quiet, observant, and just wants to feel safe.

Chico needs a home where he is shown love and kindness. No loud pressure, no rush — just patience, soft voices, and someone who will sit with him until he’s ready.

Chico wants love, kindness, and compassion in his life. He is hoping to find it soon.
