Blazing Trails & The Mobile Horse

Blazing Trails & The Mobile Horse Private & semi-private horseback trail rides through Pontiac Lake Recreation Area. No experience necessary! Reservations recommended

Rides range from 60 minutes to three hours and pony rides are available for kids too young for the standard rides. Riders must be 8-years old or older and under 220 #;

One-hour ride: $45; rides from 1-hour up to 3 hours; pony rides (5 minutes or 30 minutes) for kids 7 and younger; discounts for campers at Pontiac Lake Recreation Area.

Well… the White Lake tornado of July 24th did a tremendous amount of damage to the Park!

1) I am immensely grateful that my horses and I were not there!! — I stayed in a camper year ‘round (2018-2020) in order to be close to my herd. Big storms always made me nervous.

2) Had we been operating the stable this year, we’d have been impacted hard — the trails are a mess and are closed indefinitely (we would’ve lost business during our busy season)

I truly miss our wonderful stable business, and often wish things had turned out differently… But, holy cow! This would’ve been a tough one!

With a heavy heart, we at Blazing Trails must report that our doors have closed at Pontiac Lake.

This was a heart-wrenching decision, because our guests have been THE BEST!
We truly enjoyed our time there, and put our full heart and soul into providing a top-notch, exceptional horseback riding experience for you all.

Many of our horses are enjoying retirement, and that does my heart good.

These pics are from our very last public ride at the Park back in November.

Just a couple of announcements 🙂

1) We are suspending our public trail rides this Monday, 8/24, thru Friday, 8/28. It’s Horse Camp week!! Our horses will be doted on by a gaggle of horse-crazy kids 💕🐴
This provides a much-needed break for our wonderful ponies! 🙂👏👏👏

2) Our new rates have gone into affect. One-hour rides are $50 and 90-minute rides are $70.

Junior has his own book, “Seven Days on Drummond”, written by Nancy and signed by Junior, himself!!
