Today we were reminded why we love what we do. 💐
A client brought us the most beautiful flowers after we helped with their pet last week, and it truly meant more than words can say. Veterinary medicine can be emotionally exhausting at times, but moments like this remind us that the long hours, hard decisions, and deep care we pour into every patient truly matter.
We are incredibly grateful for the trust our clients place in us to care for their pets like family. Thank you for your kindness, thoughtfulness, and support — it touched our entire team more than you know. ❤️
We feel lucky every day to do what we love and to serve such amazing people and pets.

We’re so excited to welcome our second doctor to Hunter’s Animal Hospital, Dr. Carlene Patterson, a proud Arkansas native from Stuttgart. She has spent a lifetime doing what she loves most — caring for animals with kindness, compassion, and a whole lot of heart. A member of the Feline Veterinary Medical Association, she has cared for animals for an incredible 62 years, including 37 years as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
After earning her DVM from Oklahoma State University in 1989, Dr. Patterson dedicated her career to helping pets live happy, healthy lives. She lovingly owned and operated Sheep Meadow Animal Hospital, LLC, a cozy home-based practice in Ghent, New York, for 25 years before returning home to Arkansas.
Over the years, she has also cared for furry friends at Beebe Veterinary Hospital in Beebe, Arkansas, and The Cats Only Clinic in Searcy, Arkansas. Cats have always held a special place in her heart, and anyone who knows Dr. Patterson knows her life has never been complete without a few feline companions nearby.
When she’s not caring for animals, Dr. Patterson enjoys spending time with her daughter, son, and beloved cats. Her warmth, gentle nature, and lifelong devotion to animals have made her not only a wonderful veterinarian, but a treasured friend to pets and their people alike.

We are excited to better serve our White Hall community as we add a wonderful second doctor. We will have more availability for appointments and surgeries moving forward.
