Happy Veterans Day! Thank you to all who served!

Today is Veterans Day, a day to honor and thank all the brave people who have served and sacrificed for our country. We also want to recognize and appreciate the special role that animals play in the military and in the lives of veterans. Animals have been loyal companions, helpers, and heroes for soldiers throughout history, providing comfort, support, and protection. ๐Ÿพ

We need your help!

Every dog deserves walks and that goes double for shelter dogs.

We love all of our dogs and do our best to keep them engaged and entertained but we donโ€™t always have the time to walk some of our more energetic dogs.

Just a 20-30 min walk will give a dog a much needed break from the shelter and helps with any stress that dog may be feeling.

If you are interested in volunteering, please come on in and fill out a quick volunteer form and make a dogs day!

This will be fun!

This week is Animal Shelter and Rescue Appreciation week. There are so many great organizations working hard to take care of the animals in our community that are homeless. Here are some ways to help:
Adopt or foster: Consider giving a home to an animal in need or providing a temporary home through fostering.
Volunteer: Donate your time to help with daily tasks, from animal care to administrative work.
Donate: Provide monetary donations, or give supplies from a shelter's wish list, like food, treats, or non-clumping litter.
Fundraise: Organize an independent fundraiser, or participate in an event hosted by the shelter, such as a walkathon, pet wash, or photo contest.
Spread the word: Share posts about adoptable animals on social media to increase their visibility.
Thank the staff: A simple "thank you" or small tokens like snacks or gift cards can mean a lot to the hardworking staff and volunteers.
Shop: Support shelters by shopping at their thrift stores or other partner stores.
