THIS…this is why I love doing what I do! This sweet girl (the brown one) stayed with us shortly after being adopted by the best family ever. Sadly, we don’t know what happened to her before her adoption to make her so incredibly scared and shut down. Even with help from medications she struggles. We had the honor of caring for her and see the beginnings of her coming out of her shell. First it was slight tail wags, relaxing into us, then searching out attention and finally an attempt at play. This was her first attempt at initiating play with another dog…and she picked the biggest one here! 🤣. As someone who struggles with my own anxiety, I couldn’t be more proud of her bravery. It is deeply satisfying for me to provide that safe place for pets like her to bloom. 🥰
